A Vibrant Community
In the year 2000, when Y2K fears had just fizzled and flip‑phones ruled the earth, Mathew Carrigan—soon to be known as Vice Admiral Carrigan the Unflappable—and Andrew Lord, destined for the title of Rear Admiral Lord of the River, stood on the banks of a North Central Florida river and asked the most important question in maritime history:
“What if we made a navy… but tiny?”
Thus, the Gnomad Gnavy was born.
